Ramp pictures

You may recall when I put the entry out the home visit, I made note of how beautiful the ramp was.

Here are two pictures of it. Thanks again Alan and Chris for such a great job.

Thanks also to Scott Albury for stopping by to take these. I've known and worked with Scott and the staff at St. Vincent's in Jacksonville for 28 years or so.

Hi Barry

Whom ever built your ramp did a really nice job. There is an art to that. I have left the one in place that was done for my husband just in case anyone else may ever need to enter my place via a ramp.

It is wonderful that you are going home and we wish you and Rick the best. Just know that there are many people in very willing position to help with just a call. George and I both are very versed in that area.

George and I have been consumed with painting as much as we could during this long weekend and that rascal is not taking a nap. He cheats ! We do hope to get to see you Monday before you leave Heartland.

Take care and please know that the offer of help is real and we are both experienced.

Hey Barry,

Having seen your back yard when I was down to visit in early June, Alan and Chris have done a GRRRRREAT Job in constructing your access ramp to the house. It has not infringed on the flower beds in any way and allows you to see all of the back yard. I know you are looking forward to going home on Tuesday and continuing your recovery and rehab. I know having met some of your friends when I was there, reading the blog responses, and talking with you on the phone that there is a tremendous amount of support and love constantly being sent to you and Rick from all over the place. You have progressed a long way since May 22 when you were operated on. The "baby steps" are certainly showing what huge drive you have and the support you have. Please give my thanks to all of your caretakers who have worked with you and also given you the drive to be where you are today in regards to your Phyical Thearpy and your up beat attitude. Without them this would have been much more difficult. I know this will continue as you start your home therapy. Hope your last weekend at Heartlands is an enjoyable and relaxing one. Will you also give my thanks to Alan and Chris for the time that they provided to built the access ramp and Chuck and Ron for helping Rick get things ready for your reurn home. I am looking forward to talking with you later today.

Love ya,

Steve

Barry, I think you can accomplish anything you try. You will do great at home. What a great job the two guys did building the ramps. My mom and dad had ramps at their house, and they were so helpful. I'm so glad you are going home. There is no place like home and being with your friends, loved ones, and of course your pets. You are a remarkable person. Gayle

What a great job Alan and Chris have done for you Barry. This beautiful ramp will allow you to move freely from inside the house out. It is so nice that you will be able to go home tomorrow. I am so happy for you.

Love,

Maddie
