Medical update

Ten radiation treatments done, two more to go. On the last treatment I’m actually going to receive a tattoo. It will be extremely small. It will simply make a permanent mark as to where treatment had taken place. I never thought that I would be an inked man.

I do have an appointment with my oncologist next week. We had to wait until the radiation treatments were complete in order to do that. And then I’ll have an appointment with my neurologist a month after the radiation treatments are completed.

One minor setback. In the interest of being fully truthful about everything, it was discovered yesterday that I have two small bedsores that we’re now working diligently on getting healed.

Our family was blessed when my brother Rick partnered with Barry some 17-18 years ago......I have considered Barry as one of my own brothers as we have shared many special moments from shopping for computer, keeping my computer updated and/or answering any of my questions regarding anything I could not solve, to cooking for Thanksgiving and Christmas, to keeping the peace with Mom, to facilitating Dad's memorial service at a quaint chapel in Annapolis, MD, to being at Mom's bedside at her passing, to distributing her ashes at sea when the wind blew them back on Rick and I, to all the ups and downs of Nonnie, to just enjoying WendyO's back porch early mornings, to so so many other precious memories. I am certainly blessed to have experienced his sensitivities to us all. He is and was such a joy no matter when or where.

We pray for a miracle for him now; he needs all of us now.....I just want him to know how much I love him, how many cherished moments he has given us all and how I wish him many more beautiful memories to make with us. God Bless, Barry....love ME.

Hi there Barry - Just wanted to let you know I booked my flight. I will be arriving in Jacksonsville on Friday, June 20. I can't wait to see you. I will take care of bringing your request with me.

I am going down to O.C. this weekend with Amber to see Aunt Noami and Uncle Ken. I am leaving on Friday evening and returning on Sunday. Sunday is Father's Day so I will stop by Dad's on my way home. I forgot to tell you Charlotte actually sent me a txt message and asked me to say "Happy Father's Day" to dad. It was funny because she sent it last weekend and I sent one back saying I would be happy to do that for you but Father's day isn't until this weekend. Maybe without calendars over there - they just forget what date it actually is. What do you think? That is definitely one flight I never want to take. It is Africa - no thank you. Anyway, honey you keep on trucking with your therapy and I will see you soon. Talk to you tomorrow. Love you and take care, Tina

Good morning,

I'm off to Lavendar Fields with my senior center Red Hat club. I've ordered two grosso plants which I will use for a back planting in a 15' circle in front of the house that for the past years has contained spider plants and fragrant bushes. The farm is owned by two women who live on the property. They have a gift shop and have built a "shed" for lunches. It's above Rehoboth in Cool Spring, but really very near Milton.

You should have received the pop corn by Tuesday. Let me know if I should start a tracer.

Your p.t. equipment is amazing to me. Such progress in the field and such a great help for so many people.

Love,

Aunt Naomi
