Therapy update

Some improvement in results today. On one or two of the chair pushups I was able to push myself further out of the chair than I have in previous attempts. I’m trying to push myself into a standing position from the chair.

In the afternoon session, the omnicycle numbers improved form 95% on the left leg and 5% on the right to 86% left and 14% right. I very intentionally concentrated on that weaker right leg.

One more radiation treatment to go.

Congratulations on your last treatment and now to be able to concentrate on the PT..We wish the very best for you and a greatly improved health.

Your blog is so neat and it is no wonder you are such a terrific person with the family background you enjoy. Wish more families were like that today.

Take care and we will be in to see you, hopefully, this weekend. We cannot stop by on Friday as George has to QA inventory at work and then we have tickets to the Alhambra for the evening. And, Lord willing, we will be painting on Saturday; we got a good bit done last week but still more to go. Never ending and with us having two properties, it keeps us busy and out of trouble. We have Tai Chi activities the next two weekends.

Hope to see you in the next day or so; just take care of you.

Barry, I love hearing from you. It sounds like you are improving each day, which we want. I chuckle at your adventures, etc. with Rick. Some of them sound like what myself and a girlfriend at work use to get into. We were nick named Lucy and Ethel. We got into everything at work. I'm not sure you know her (Ann Henderson). She worked in ITS for many years then went to the Audit dept. Now she works at the hospital in Clarksville. Ann, another friend of mine, Connie, that was hired the same time as Ann and I, 30 something years ago, still meet twice a year. We go out to eat, go to Centennial Park to feed the ducks, and journey out into the park to look and discuss all the beautiful flowers, then we end up at Wendys or McDonalds for coffee or Ice Cream. We start our 'outing' at 3 and finish about mid night. We have a wonderful time together. A lot of your experiences with Rick remind me of the Lucy and Ethel expereinces. I hope you have a wonderful day today and continue to progress. Take care. Gayle

Barry - You are doing so great in your therapy. Just keep up the good (and hard) work you are doing. It will pay off.

I just love reading your blog. In fact, every morning when I come in and open up my email I look forward to your entries from the night before. What a great way to start my work day! Everything is going good here but we miss you! Take care of yourself. I believe in prayer, so I am praying for you every time I think of you. Have a great day and keep on typing! Talk to you soon - Teresa

Barry,
I am so grateful for the sharing of the memories. Really you have to read "Consumming Passions". I am sure that I am not alone in recalling some of those family tradidtions and embarassing moments from my past as I read yours. I am so glead to hear that the therapy is paying off. It would be so much better for you to get off your a__. Sorry to hear about the bedsores. I am so glad to hear that you have so many visitors and the staff loves to chat. You are such a people person, have such a great wit and big heart that being with others is your oxygen.
Have Simon and Margo visited again?
Thinking of you daily and praying for you too.
